Business Casual Outfit Of The Day

Psst, can I tell you a little secret? I’ve always wanted to do fashion posts, but I’ve been a tad bit apprehensive. Thankfully, a few fellow #mommybloggers have given me that extra little push that I needed and here we are now. I have decided to add a new section to the blog dedicated to women’s fashion. I’m not sure what to call it yet, but would greatly appreciate any suggestions in the comments.

Woman with tory burch satchel business casual

On days that I don’t have to go to court I like to dress a little more casual and play around with colors. I wore this outfit right after Christmas and based it off of the green plants. Unfortunately the brown of the shirt photographs lighter than it actually is, in person the color of the shirt matches the color of the shoes.

This is what being a mother entails, I just couldn’t keep him out of the shot. He was so curious & ended up taking over the “photo-shoot.”

Sometimes being in a  suit all day can be uncomfortable (specially in the summer months) so I take any chance I can to wear these type of pants. They are of spandex material but with the few details on them you would never know I”m basically walking around in tights at the office. Ok, I have to make another confession, I lived in spandex “dress-up” pants throughout my pregnancy. Yes, I even wore them to court. In fact, this is a great tip for you expecting mommies out there, you can avoid buying maternity business attire by purchasing a couple spandex pants which you will be able to wear post baby bod.

I hope you enjoyed this outfit & don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Bloglovin to catch the next outfit. Let me know what your maternity fashion secrets were and if you still use some of them post-baby.

  1. I love mommy fashion! Keep it up! I love what you’ve done with this outfit! And I’m with you – an non-maternity clothes that can be used during pregnancy are wins in my book! In fact, I even did a post on it during my last pregnancy… (I can send you the link if you’re interested!) And your photo-bomber is the cutest! ❤

        1. I did. I was just all day in court I haven’t been able to respond. I loved it actually. I’ll let you know when I add it to the post.

    1. Oh definitely. I feel like when I’m at home I just want to wear comfy clothes that I won’t care if they get dirty. It’s a struggle.

    1. Emily, that’s unfortunate. I think it helps that it has the little detail in the front that makes them look like more than they really are. At my office as long as it looks good its fine, of course no jeans or super trendy stuff haha.
